I study jkd, kali, silat, wing chun, bjj and a bit of boxing.?

I study jkd, kali, silat, wing chun, bjj and a bit of boxing. trying to find what

is best i train four hours a day and find that i seem to use different systems

in different situations. is that because thats what suits me, or because im

using the most efficient answer. If so does this mean that there are no perfect

arts, or could you call this jeet kune do????????????

I study jkd, kali, silat, wing chun, bjj and a bit of boxing.?
i like your attitude and yes i would call it J.K.D but maybe on another level . I prefer to think outside of perfect art because there is no such thing . we all have parts of the puzzle. i like the idea of bricks in a wall everything is a piece of a complicated puzzle. by studying various arts pieces of the puzzle are slotting into place .the physical is easy ,its the psychological, emotional part is the difficult part
Reply:woah dude thats toooo much. you need to really pick a few but if you must try and choose no more than 3. ur kinda getin an overload there. i started doing different styles. but i trained in goshin jitsu for 3 years before i explore dother systems and i never left that system. i now do kenpo, goshin jitsu, and sombo.
Reply:young grasshopper that is mostly what jeet kune do is about :]
Reply:it's really cool that you are trying to learn as much as you can... you will actually find that personally some techniques you would like to use "hard" styles against (force against force) and some techniques you prefer to yous "soft" defense... (redirect your opponents energy, preferably against a hard strike, but hey that's my preference)... the deal is the more your learn, the more you learn about you, and what is best for YOU to do in any given situation... ... now that doesn't make your "style" the perfect style for everyone, but it makes a damn good one for you... it does not make you invincible, but it makes YOU better... keep learning
Reply:Study one disipline to it's full potential, this will be your main path in martial art, then diverse and attract new moves, but return to your path to find where that fits. Your body needs time to repair and grow, if you used two of those training days to read and study the bunkai during the week, you will improve the mind as well as the body.

Being fit is good, but martial arts is about technique not strength, so a sharp mind is needed as well.

Slow down gives faster progress, speed up give slow progress.

Find One Kata, Study One Kata, Know One Kata.

If you were a chef and cooked a fine meal fit for your Sensei, that meal would be good "Kung Fu".

If you live a good life before a Sensei, that life would be good "Kung Fu".

If you can protect your family, friends and your Sensei... That is good "Kung Fu".

Being a butterfly among the flowers of different Martial Arts is not good "Kung Fu".

Search slowly and the path comes to you, but always tread carefully, if you rush you will make mistakes.

You sound keen in spirit, I admire that, You will do well in life !
